The company had its humble beginnings at the founders’ home. What began as a pan of jerk chicken or lasagna for a small affair quickly grew to providing food for weddings, corporate events and large family functions. Periodic rental of commercial kitchen space followed and in September of 2008 Preferred Catering began renovations on its 1229 E. 87th Street location. The doors officially opened on a snowy day January 10, 2009. Opening day was made successful by a host of well-wishers, family, friends and supportive classmates.
Preferred Catering is partnered with PORTER GRILL at the same location, which provides day-to-day service of their notable Flame K-issed Cuisine.®
Our parent company is People Enjoying Premier Events Inc. (P.E.P.E. Inc.) established in 2007.
